According to Google CEO Sundar Pichai, soccer fans broke the previous record for checking for updates on the FIFA World Cup 2022 on Sunday. Argentia won its third World Cup title by defeating France 4-2 in the championship game, sending millions of people around the globe into jubilation.

According to Sundar Pichai, on Sunday, “search” saw its highest volume of traffic in the previous 25 years. On the internet, it appeared as though everyone in the world was looking for the same thing.

The Google CEO tweeted, “During the final of the #FIFAWorldCup, search recorded its highest ever traffic in 25 years; it felt like everyone in the world was searching about one thing.”

Argentina vs. France in the FIFA World Cup 2022 championship game is “one of the greatest games ever,” according to Pichai. He commended both teams for their efforts during the game.

“Among the best video games ever. Argentina and France played well. Beautiful Jogo. Nobody is more deserving of it than #messi, who is my personal favourite player in game history. What a farewell. “#FIFAWorldCup,” he added in a tweet.

Because it was FIFA World Cup champion Lionel Messi’s final game, the game had extra significance. The superstar from Argentina has won the World Cup.

Despite Kylian Mbappé scoring the first hat trick in a championship game in 56 years, Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties Sunday to win its third World Cup. Messi scored two goals in regulation and another in the shootout.
