The US got out to a quick start, as Timothy Weah’s goal in the 36th minute gave them a 1-0 lead. In a thrilling Group B match on Monday at a packed Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium. Veteran striker Gareth Bale’s late penalty gave Wales a 1-1 draw. With the United States to avoid a loss in their first World Cup appearance in 64 years.

Wales’ all-time leading scorer, was brought down by US defender Tim Ream. In the penalty area, stepped up to the spot and slammed the ball into the top corner in front of the “Red Wall” of supporters in the 82nd minute.
